Art Activity in 2013

I am excited to have become a member of the Elm City Artists Gallery on Whitney Ave. in New Haven, CT.   This summer, I will be working there most Thursday and Friday afternoons, so please come in and see me and my most recent works, as well as the works of the other talented artists in this Yale supported member-run art gallery.

The current exhibit includes five new examples of my work!

I have been in numerous shows and my art can still be seen at the Dragonfly Gallery on Martha’s Vineyard until October. I presently have a solo show at the Kent Art Association. The opening is September 15, 1-5, and the show will be up until October 14.

I will be doing a demo at SCAN in Newtown, Connecticut on September 26, 1:30-3 pm.  I will also be teaching a class there in October.  For more information, go to http://www.scanart.org/

Purple-Hearted Peonies is published in Splash 12: The Best of Watercolor. It’s an honor to be considered one of today’s “brightest watercolor visionaries,” not to mention seeing my work in print.

This spring, I entered the SCAN 41st Annual Spring Juried Show and won the top watercolor award (the Richard Ochs Memorial Award) for Color by Newtown’s Egg Lady.

I entered the EAC’s “Art in the Country” and won first prize for Curly Dahlias.

Art Activity in 2010

In 2010, paintings were accepted in numerous shows, including the New England Watercolor Society, SCAN of Newtown, Kent Art Association, and Featherstone Gallery.

I had a good season at Dragonfly Gallery of Martha’s Vineyard, and had two solo shows at Halstead Property in Wilton, where my work is on display indefinitely.  I taught a watercolor class at SCAN in the fall,  and continued teaching in my home.
